The Relevance Of The Holy Days In The Plan Of God In The Last Days

There are two vital principles we should keep in mind when studying the word of God. The first one is, “The Bible interprets itself.” I learned this in my first year of Bible college in a class taught by the chairman of the department of theology. It has been a reliable and valuable companion ever since. The second principle comes from Matthew Henry in his notable, and meticulous Bible Commentary from the early 1700s. “None of God's judgements are adjourned sine die- without the appointment of a certain day.” That is, those days are established beyond doubt. They are not hidden. They are in plain sight in the pages of our Bibles. All major events in the Biblical record are there for a specific reason and purpose. They are part of the pattern established by God. They are not haphazard times and days scattered throughout the pages of the Biblical record with no relevancy to each other in the plan of God. Upon close examination, we discover how perfectly our LORD has fitted them together over thousands of years of human history. So much so in fact, it leaves one totally gobsmacked.

With these two principles firmly in mind, in addition to our abiding love of the truth of the word of God, let’s let the Biblical record reveal the plan of God to us in relation to the annual holy days given to all twelve nations of Israel in the last days. Please keep in mind, the descendants of Judah, the Jews, are only one nation of the kingdom of Israel. [See Gen. 49:1ff]. Also, the descendants of Esau/Edom, Zionists, are not of Israel, despite their spurious claims and efforts at appearances. [Rev. 3:9]. It's the indigenous Western Christian nations that make up the remainder of the Biblical Israel, specifically the House of Israel, today.

We'll begin by examining some interesting facts concerning the correct day of the week of Christ’s resurrection, the dates of the annual holy days in the Hebrew calendar, and events and statements in the Biblical record regarding the judgement of certain appointed days, dates and times. Following these God-given Biblical theological "breadcrumbs" will lead us to a most unexpected, and astonishing hair-raising discovery relevant to our current events.

Let’s begin with the correct day of Christ’s resurrection. It was established by God, before the beginning of time, to take place on a certain day relevant in the plan of God. Therefore, getting it correct is the critical first step in setting off on the right path to our destination. Getting it wrong is the first step in heading away from the truth. Rather than repeat here at length what is examined in depth regarding this, please read the Feature article, Easter, Babylon And The Antichrist. The correct day, we discover, is not a Sunday morning, the first day of the week, which apocryphal tradition steers us away from our ancestry and inheritance. Christ’s resurrection, according to the Biblical record, took place the preceding day, the seventh day of the week, before sunset.

Christ, upon his death, was placed in the grave before a sunset. [John 19:31]. This sunset, as we’ll discover, was just prior to the beginning of a Sabbath day. But it was not the weekly Sabbath as is mistakenly thought by current day Christianity because we've lost sight of the plan of God outlined for us in the holy days. This Sabbath day was an annual or high holy Sabbath day according to the gospel of John [John 19:31], which always is the day following the Passover day. It is the first annual holy day of the sacred year. It was the first annual holy day to be fulfilled by Christ as the Passover Lamb of God. This is important for us to know as we follow the clues laid out for us in the Biblical record. This day was appointed for a very specific reason and purpose as we’ll discover. Thus, the day of Christ’s resurrection was appointed to be on the weekly Sabbath day prior to sunset.1

Recall, Christ said he would be in the grave for three days and three nights. He was. [Again, see the Feature article, Easter, Babylon And The Antichrist]. Now it is very easy, knowing this important fact, to count back from a weekly Sabbath day before sunset, our Saturday, three days and three nights. Doing so, we arrive at a Wednesday day, the end of the Passover day, which is not a holy day, just prior to sunset and the beginning of the first annual holy day Sabbath, the first day of the seven days of Unleavened Bread. [See Exd. 12:1-11, 14-20, for the command to the twelve nations of Israel, including all the nations of the House of Israel to whom Christ only was sent in the first century, Mat. 15:24, to observe these days on specific dates in the Hebrew calendar; also see The Hijacked Elephant, a complimentary copy on the Home page, for a detailed look at each of the annual holy days].

The annual holy days of Unleavened Bread commemorated our LORD bringing Israel out of Egypt hastily after the pass over, they only having bread that had not risen, or flatbread, bread without leavening. [See 1 Cor. 5:6-8]. Symbolically, it represents the children of Israel coming out of bondage to the law, sin and its penalty of death, paid for by the blood of the Lamb of God. “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” [Rom. 8:2].

The first appointed annual holy day begins at sunset when the Passover day ends. The Passover day always occurs on the same fixed date, the 14th of Nisan, the first month in the Hebrew calendar. As the days of Biblical Israel begin at sunset,2 the 14th of Nisan began at Tuesday sunset, continuing through Wednesday day to sunset. However, for purposes of simplification, we’ll refer to this Passover, the 14th of Nisan, as taking place on a Wednesday day until sunset. We'll follow this same pattern for all the annual holy Sabbath days mentioned in this article.

We have two clues here on the way to our destination. One, the correct day of Christ’s resurrection, without doubt, was a weekly Sabbath day. This led us back to the Passover day, a Wednesday day. These two points lead us to the first annual Sabbath of the sacred new year on Thursday day, the fixed date of the 15th of Nisan, the first day of Unleavened Bread. This makes the 17th of Nisan, three nights and days after the 14th, the date of Christ’s resurrection. The Roman Catholic Encyclopedia acknowledges these Hebrew calendar dates as well, with three full days between Christ's death, the 14th, and resurrection, the 17th. Please note, the tradition of the Roman church always celebrates its Easter festival on the same fixed day of the week, the day of the Sun, as opposed to Biblical Israel whose God-given annual Sabbaths are on fixed dates, except counting to Pentecost, in the calendar. Again, see the Feature article, Easter, Babylon And The Antichrist.

To summarize, we have three dates. The 14th of Nisan, Passover, the crucifixion day. The 15th of Nisan, the first annual holy day of the year in which Christ was placed into the grave just before sunset. The 17th of Nisan, the weekly Sabbath day on which Christ was resurrected just before sunset.

Now, it's time for a little historical sleuthing. What year, in the Roman Julian calendar in use in the early part of the first century, AD/CE, did the 14th of Nisan, a fixed date in the Hebrew calendar, fall on the fourth day of the Hebrew week, a Wednesday day?

Well, there are three potential candidates. But to discover the correct one, we have to anchor it to another date. It is the year of the birth of Christ. Christ was not born in the year 1 CE as is the common error. Biblical scholars place the year of his birth in the 4-7 BCE period, based on the death of Herod the Great in 4 BCE. [Herod].

So, what year would this be? For this we have to sync the 4-7 BCE time frame with the Roman Julian calendar and with the Hebrew calendar to find the correct year in which the Hebrew Passover, the 14th Nisan, fell on a Wednesday day in the Julian calendar in the early part of the first century.

Which of our three candidates fits the time frame for Christ’s birth, as well as the Passover and the resurrection? One of them occurred in the mid-30s CE/AD. It puts the birth date of Christ much too late, well after Herod’s death rather than before it. The other occurred in the early 20’s CE. This is a bit too early to fit with other historical factors regarding the year of Christ’s birth, as it would put the date about 9-10 BCE.

However, the other year is a perfect fit. It is the year 27 CE/AD. In 27 CE, the Passover, the 14th of Nisan, fell on a Wednesday day. The 15th of Nisan was the first Day of Unleavened Bread. And the 17th of Nisan was the weekly Sabbath day of Christ’s resurrection.

Christ began his ministry in his 30th year as was the religious custom of the day. [Luke 3:23]. His ministry lasted for three and a half years. Going back 33.5 years from 27 CE puts us in the time frame of 6-7 BCE. Keep in mind, the Hebrew calendar is lunar while the Julian calendar was solar. Thus, we have a little variance in the exact timing of years from one calendar to the other.

As noted, Biblical scholars pretty much agree that the year of Christ’s birth occurred somewhere between 4-7 BCE using the documented time of the death of King Herod in 4 BCE. He’s the one who had the children of Bethlehem and the coasts thereof, two years and under, put to death. Therefore, sometime in 4 BCE, minus two years, and some time spent in Egypt [Mat. 2:13], puts the birth of Christ in the 6 to 7 BCE time frame as well. Couple this with the Julian calendar's match for the 14th of Nisan in 27 CE on a Wednesday day, and we have a match for the birth, death and resurrection of Christ.

Going back to the Wednesday day, the 14th of Nisan in 27 CE, the Passover, we discover that this correlated in the Julian calendar to the 9th of April that year. The 15th of Nisan, the first annual holy day of Unleavened Bread, was a Thursday day, the 10th of April. The 17th of Nisan before sunset, the day of Christ’s resurrection, was the 12th of April, 27 CE, the weekly Sabbath.

Understanding the annual holy days, which outline God’s plan for all Israel from the time of their coming out of Egypt, the first time they were recovered, until the second time the LORD puts forth his hand to recover a remnant of Israel, the 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 7 [see Isa. 60, the blessings after their return], lets us know where we are today in the big picture. Comprehending the relevance of the annual holy days in the plan of God is of vital importance for us. They open the door to events about to take place in our very near future. But, we’ll let the Biblical record tell us what they are. As noted above, "The Bible interprets itself," [2 Pet. 1:20] and “None of God's judgements are adjourned sine die- without the appointment of a certain day.”

Where is all this leading? It leads us to an answer Christ gave to his apostles. "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." [Mat. 24:34-36]. Christ continued, "Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come.” This is repeated twice in three verses in Matthew. [See Mat. 24:42-44; also see Luke 12:40]. Christ is referring to two separate events, which are represented by two separate annual Sabbath days.

Biblically, this generation, the Christian age, refers to the time of Christ's first coming until his return. Also, notice Christ was very specific and exact in what he said, " ... you know not what hour your Lord does come." He did not say what day date, month or year. The reason is that the day date and month have been provided to us by our LORD in the Biblical record since the days of our ancestor's exodus from Egypt, and the year since the first century, as we shall discover. The answer to when is contained and made clear in the annual holy Sabbath days. However, the fixed date of Christ's return was appointed before this, before the beginning of time as we're told in the Biblical record. Keep in mind here, we are not setting dates. We are following the Biblical record's direction, which contains the dates as laid out in the annual Sabbath plan of God from before the foundation of the Earth. “None of God's judgements are adjourned sine die- without the appointment of a certain day.

Before the dominion of Babylon the Great in Revelation, that which we commonly refer to as the "Apocalypse," God will send a prophet to the House of Israel to warn us. “Moreover He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the House of Israel ... But when I speak with you [Ezekiel, the prophet to the House of Israel], I will open your mouth  and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house ... Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why will you die, O House of Israel?" [Eze. 3:1, 27; 18:31; see the Sneakers article, Ezekiel's Prophetic Headlines].

The Greek word for day is hemera, the day light, sunrise to sunset portion of a day, or a civil 24-hour day. As spoken by Christ, hour is hora, a twelfth part of the day time. "None of God's judgements are adjourned sine die- without the appointment of a certain day.” We can know the day, and the fixed dates of the annual holy days [i.e., second day of Unleavened Bread, 21st Nisan] because they have been given to us in the Biblical record. But, the hour of our Lord's return has not been made known to us, just that it will occur in the day time, Jerusalem time. [See Zec. 14:4].

Also, we aren't told the day and hour that heaven and earth shall pass away, or when Babylon the Great is destroyed. “The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, for in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every ship master, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, and cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!” [Rev. 18:15-18].

Christ was resurrected on a weekly Sabbath day before sunset between the two annual high holy days of Unleavened Bread. We know he was in the grave for three full days and nights. We know he was the sacrificed Passover Lamb. In the Hebrew calendar, the Passover is an unalterably fixed date, not day, of the first month of the sacred new year. It is not an annual holy day. This is the 14th of Nisan. The next day, the 15th of Nisan was the first annual holy Sabbath day of the year. Seven days later, the last day of Unleavened Bread, occurs on the fixed date in the Hebrew calendar, the 21st of Nisan.

These two annual holy days of Unleavened Bread were fulfilled by Christ. We were redeemed, freed from the penalty of sin and death by the death and resurrection of Christ. These days were the first of the three times in the year in which the males of Israel were to appear before the LORD. “Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks [Pentecost], and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed.” [Deu. 16:16].

There are seven annual holy days within these three times of the year. In the Biblical record, seven is the number representative of perfection. Three is the number representative of completion. For those of you mathematically inclined, one of the three Biblical times has 4 holy days, another time has 2 holy days, and the other has 1 holy day. The time of the year with 4 annual sabbaths marks the beginning of the civil new year for Israel. It is third in rank. The time of the year with 2 annual sabbaths take place in the beginning of the sacred new year for Israel. It is second in rank. The time of the year with one annual sabbath is for the individual. It marks the first time in history that the Spirit of God with the promise of eternal life was given to those called and chosen.

Also, in the Biblical week of the creation of man, not the creation of the universe, there are 4000 years from the first adam, Adam to the second adam, Christ [1 Cor. 15:45-47]. From Christ's first coming to his return is 2000 years. And from his return to the last great judgement day is 1000 years. The beginning of the Millennium marks the fulfillment of the earnest payment of promise. the Spirit of God and eternal life as kings and priests in the kingdom of God at Christ's return, fulfilled by Christ on that first century annual holy day of Pentecost. [See Rev. 1:5,6]. And here we have the four, two, one sequence again. [The 4, 2, 1 Mathematical Loop].

Pentecost, the feast of Weeks, is the second of times in the sacred new year. It was fulfilled by Christ when he sent the Spirit of God, the good faith promise of eternal life, from our Father [Eph. 1:11-14] to the people of the House of Israel [Eze. 34:30Mat. 10:5, 6] on the 8th of Sivan [Lev. 23:16], which was day one of the week, a Sunday day in 27 CE. [John 15:26]. It was the first official day of Christianity. “Therefore let all the House of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ ... Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you [of the House of Israel] be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” [Acts 2:36-38; see the Feature articles, And It's Still A Mystery and Moving Forward].

Friday is the preparation day for the weekly holy Sabbath. Our ancestors of the House of Israel first receiving the Spirit of God also is a preparation for the first resurrection and the establishment of the kingdom of God on Earth at Christ's return when " ... in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." [1 Cor 15:52, 53].

The significance of the promise of the Spirit of God is that it gives life to our mortal bodies in this life before we are resurrected to eternal life in the Spirit. "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead also will give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." [Rom. 8:11, also see The Blind Man's Elephant chapter one, Three Creations of Life, p.47].

The Spirit of God is the only thing we can have that is not of this world. Everything else in the world is vanity, mortal. [Ecc. 1:2]. All that which is of this heaven and earth shall pass away, including all the gold, silver and cryptocurrencies. Therefore, it is only our gift of the Spirit of God that transitions from this world into the kingdom of God. And there are no piggyback rides to get there, including so-called futurist "spiritual machines." On that Pentecost in 27 CE, the Spirit of God was made available for the first time in human history, "on the appointment of a certain day” in the plan of God. The promise of eternal life through receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, Pentecost, fulfilled annual holy Sabbath day number three. [1 John 2:27, NASB, no machines required; see the Sneakers articles, Artificial Intelligence Is The New Golden Calf, and Beware The Sackbut ... Not To Mention AI And 666!]. As noted, this promise will be fulfilled at the first resurrection, the day of Trumpets, annual holy Sabbath day number four. [See the Feature article, The Good News Colour Revolution].

To recap the year 27 CE, for three and a half years prior to this, Christ fulfilled his ministry. On the 14th of Nisan, a Wednesday day, he was crucified. He was our sacrificial Passover Lamb to cover the sins of all Israel. [Rom. 11:25-27]. He was put into the grave before sunset, prior to the first day of Unleavened Bread, the 15th Nisan, a Thursday day. On the weekly Sabbath day before sunset, the 17th of Nisan, he was resurrected. The following Wednesday day was the 21st of Nisan, the last day of the feast of Unleavened Bread, the second annual holy day of the sacred new year. Counting seven weekly Sabbaths from the day after the first annual Sabbath day of Unleavened Bread, the 15th Nisan, we come to Pentecost, the third annual holy day of the sacred new year. Thus, the first two times of the year, established without a doubt as part of the plan of God, in which the males of Israel were to appear before the LORD, were fulfilled by Christ exactly on the dates as given to the children of Israel in the Old Testament books of Exodus and Leviticus nearly 3500 years ago.

Keep these three annual holy days, dates and week days from 27 CE in mind as we head to our next destination.

However, something strange occurred, or more correctly didn't occur, in 27 CE after these first three annual holy days were fulfilled by Christ. The next annual holy day in the year 27 CE was not fulfilled by Christ, nor was the one after that or the remaining two. Why not? Well, there is a very good reason for this. And it's all part of the plan of God, the pathway to eternal life, which was determined for us before the beginning of time. As the apostle Paul noted, " ... the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began." [Tts. 1:2]. Our current day "futurists" are a bit late to the party.

This break in fulfilling the annual holy days opened the door to the next appointed time, the Christian age, the last days, the time of the great tribulation between Christ's first and second coming. "God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers [of Israel] by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the ages ...." [Heb. 1:1, 2]4. As we're told by Christ, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” [Mat. 24:21]. This is why he said, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." [See Mat. 10:34-39; Rev. 6:4].

In addition to the other two principles mentioned in the beginning of this article, we have a clue of vital consequence and understanding given to us by the apostle Peter. “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” [2 Pet. 3:8].

Why would Peter [see Mat. 16:18] make this specific principle a matter of prime importance to us in context of the promise of Christ's return compared to the flood of Noah, and the death of mankind? [Gen. 6:17, and Mark 13:19, 20]. Noah represented a new start for mankind. And the return of Christ marks the kingdom of God on Earth, the first resurrection, and a new start for mankind and those in the Spirit. So, the first point is that in the time of Noah, the LORD said, "I will destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.” [Gen. 7:4]. In the Book of Daniel, "And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time." [Dan. 12:1]. This is the time prior to our LORD's return, “And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh [including all the princes, billionaires and politicians] would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days." [Mark 13:20]. As the one happened by the word of our Lord, so will the other. [See Rev. 11:1-6].

And in contextual relationship, with scoffers in the last days, including our current day atheists in positions of power, as there were in the days of Noah mentioned in 2 Peter 3:3, well until he shut the door and it began to rain on the Earth for the first time [see the Sneakers article, No More Oceans], he's making the unequivocal point to the ekklesia that Christ will return. We must hold fast our hope. And to that end, Peter, not long before his death, in the context of the annual holy Sabbath days, all but spelled it out for us about the timing of that event, which the people in the days prior to Noah's flood never had. For them, one day their life was normal. The next day, it changed forever. We could say the same thing, too, as we have done evil in the sight of our Lord. "You have caused your days to draw near, and have come to the end of your years." The point being, we never will get back to normal if 2019 and before is considered our benchmark for normal. There are many prophetic events on our horizon quickly moving our way, culminating with the return of Christ, and the establishment of the kingdom of God on Earth. [Eze. 22:4+; see the Feature article, The Princes Of A Plundered House].

We have Peter's unambiguous counsel to us, "beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing." In other words, "If nothing else, know this one thing about the return of our Lord." This advice is indispensable in our understanding of where we are in God’s plan today. [Read 2 Peter 3; also the Feature article, The Final Prophecy: It Is Done].

A caveat: It is important to understand that what follows here is a possible scenario for the timing of events. It is not necessarily THE timing of events. Our Lord and Savior abides his own timing of events. So while events and timing here may appear to fit perfectly well, they may not be what our Lord has planned.  Even if we knew the exact timing of all the events yet to transpire as rock solid fact, there is no guarantee we would live to witness them. The point being, we need to live our lives one day at a time in the love of the truth of the word of God, and wait on our Lord.

The end times, the Christian era we're in right now, are referred to many times throughout the Biblical record as “the last days.” In some cases, the English words used in the Old Testament are "the latter days." In the Biblical record, it's the same word in Hebrew and Aramaic, אַחֲרִית, 'achariyth. The mention of the last days begins in the Genesis prophecy with Israel and his twelve sons in Genesis 49, with Moses in his Deuteronomy prophecy, in Isaiah 2 and continues through to the New Testament apostles with the twelve nations of Israel today [James 1:1, Acts 2:17] as we just read above in 2 Peter. The Biblical record shows us that the last days, the Christian age, have been part of the plan of God from the beginning. [See 1 Pet. 1:8-12; also the Sneakers articles, A Life And Death Pickle Of A Predicament, also Seven Prophecies, Seven Churches].

And “... in the last days perilous times shall come.” [2 Tim. 3:1]. The last days reference a very specific time period in the Biblical record for the children of Israel. Again, it's all part of the plan of God. And the time between Christ’s first coming and his return, the Christian age, is the time of the great tribulation [Rev. 7:14], the opening of the first five seals in Revelation, culminating in the opening of seals six and seven just prior to Christ's return.

We should be mindful that the seven eras of the Christian church, with the advent of the Spirit of God on Pentecost in 27 CE, described in Revelation chapters two and three, coincide with the great tribulation during the last days. [Again, see the Sneakers article, Seven Prophecies, Seven Churches]. As we read in the first chapter of Revelation, in the first century the apostle John was directed to “Write these things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter [after the first century] ... The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which you saw are the seven churches ... He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." [Rev. 1:19, 20, 3:22].

In addition to the seven eras of the church in the last days, it is during the last days that the sons of Israel once again have national identities. Prior to the last days, the nations of the House of Israel did not have a national identity since they were taken captive by the Assyrian Empire, beginning in 732 BCE in the lands of Israel's sons, Zebulon and Napthali, upon their divorce from God. [Jer. 3:6-8; also see Isa. 9:1, 2; Mat. 4:12-16]. The sons of Israel began forming into nations for the first time in 1500 years by 800 CE, all in accordance with the last days prophecies.

It was in 802 CE that King Egbert of Wessex was recognized as the first English king. It was about 950 CE when the political unification of England was attained. The year 1066, the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror, marked a key point in England's nationhood. And of course, most significant in some respects was the Magna Carta Libertatum in 1215, by the descendants of Israel's son Joseph through Ephraim, agreed to by King John of England, in the geographic area that was part of the former western leg of the Roman Empire, the fourth head of Daniel's great image. France, Spain, the Portuguese, the Dutch and other sons of Israel began forming into nation states about this same time as described in the last days by our patriarch Israel to his sons in Genesis 49.

Even the Jews, Judah, not Zionist Edom, did not have independent national status until recently. It was c. 605 BCE that the Babylonians initially carried them away from Judea as captives for 70 years. When those of Judah returned to Jerusalem, while they had an ethnic and religious identity, they were under the successive governmental authority of the Persian, Greek, and Roman empires. Jerusalem was utterly destroyed in 70 CE by the Roman army, and the Jews were scattered abroad. While the Jews maintained their ethnic and religious identity over the centuries, it wasn't until 1948 when they were the last of the tribes of Israel to officially regain modern day nation status, a "homeland for the Jews," according to the Balfour Declaration in 1917. [See the Feature articles, Ten Horns, Ten Nations; The Little Horn: First Century Antichrist].

As we can see, the last days, the Christian era, are not just a filler, an empty Biblical gap. It is a specific time in the plan of God between Christ's first and second coming with a specific purpose. There was, and is, quite a bit taking place with the seven church eras, the sons of Israel regaining national identities, the first five seals opened, with two more to be opened, the great tribulation, and capped off by Ezekiel's warning to the children of Israel prior to the emergence of Babylon the Great, Edom's millennia long [con]quest to regain the birthright from his brother Israel that began back in the Book of Genesis. [See the Book Excerpt, The Genesis Birthright; also the Feature article, Is The US And Great Britain In End-times Bible Prophecy?].

In addition to this, the great image in Daniel two came to an end in the last days as foretold in the book of Daniel. "But there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets, and makes known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, are these." [Dan. 2:28]. Daniel goes on to describe the five empires of this great image beginning with Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel continues, “During the reigns of those kings [five kingdoms, now fallen, Babylon, Persian, Greek, Roman and Ottoman] the God of heaven will set up a kingdom [Aramaic, malkuw, kingly power and authority, which occurred during the Roman empire in the first century, 1 Cor. 15:54-57] that will never be destroyed or conquered. This kingdom shall not be left to another people, and it [the kingly power and authority of God established in the last days, first in Christ, and in us through the Spirit of God, 1 John 3:2] shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and will stand forever. [The establishment of the kingdom of God on Earth at the end of the last days upon Christ's return]. That is the meaning of the rock cut from the mountain, though not by the hands of men, that broke into pieces the iron [Roman], bronze [Greek], clay [Ottoman], silver [Persian], and gold [Babylon]. The great God was showing the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its meaning is certain.” [Dan. 2:44, 45; see Dan 4:35-37].

The final two of the first five heads of the beast, and the great image of the beast itself in Daniel 2, came to their end in the last days exactly to the year foretold in the Book of Daniel, more than two and a half millennia into Daniel's future, in accordance with the theological arrow of time. [See the Feature article, A Funny Thing Happened ...; also chapter five, I'd Like An Ottoman To Go With That, p. 157ff, The Blind Man's Elephant]. The final two heads are the Roman Empire, the legs of iron, the 4th head [1453 CE in Constantinople, the eastern leg of the empire, in 476 CE, the western leg], and the Ottoman Empire, the feet of iron mixed with miry clay, the 5th head [1918 at the end of WW1]. Babylon the Great, not part of Daniel's great image, the 6th head, the "one is" of Revelation 17 [Rev. 17:10], will come to an end in Jerusalem at the end of the last days. [Rev. 18:10; see the Sneakers article, Who Inflicted The Beast's Deadly Wound?].

All in all, three heads of the beast, heads four, five and six, come to an end in the last days. And the God of heaven set up his kingdom, in the last days, that will stand forever with the fulfillment of the first three annual holy Sabbath days, culminating with the gift of the promise of eternal life through the Spirit of God within us. [See the Feature article, Revelation 17: Big Brother, The Beast Of Babylon the Great; also chapters five and six in The Blind Man's Elephant].

The opening of seal number six occurs at the end of the tribulation of the first five seals. As Christ said, “Immediately after the tribulation of those [last] days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken [see Rev. 6:12-17]: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven [seventh seal in Rev. 8]: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn [Rev. 18:9-11], and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect [see Rev. 7, the 144,000, also the first resurrection, 1 Cor. 15:52-54] from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” [Mat. 24:29-31, also for more detail, see Isa. 34]. We'll read more about the significance of this further below.

For now, we need to look at the great tribulation, the first five seals of Revelation six. “Now I saw when the Lamb [the resurrected and glorified Christ] opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, 'Come and see.' And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. [See Rev. 19:11-16, regarding the return of Christ, but not as the Lamb].

“When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, 'Come and see.' Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.

“When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, 'Come and see.' So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, 'A quart of wheat for a denarius [common pay for a day's wages], and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.'

“When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, 'Come and see.' So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

“When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, 'How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?' Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.” [Rev. 6:1-11].

These five seals opened by Christ occurred after his ascension into heaven. Those of the nations of Israel have been experiencing them since the first century. And this will continue until the 6th and 7th seals are opened just prior to Christ’s return as we read above. From this, beginning with the fulfillment of the first three annual holy days in 27 CE, the last days, plural, as Peter made clear to us, equates to 2000 years of the Christian era. “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

The plan of God for man, not hominid creatures prior to Adam, encompasses 7000 years, a plan representative of the seven days of creation in Genesis one. From the first Adam to the second Adam, Christ, is 4000 years. From Christ's first coming to his second coming is 2000 years. From his second coming until the new Heaven and Earth, the Millennium, is 1000 years. Two is half of four, and one is half of two, the 4-2-1 loop. Thus, there are three divisions over 7000 years. Three being completion and seven being perfection. Please note, this does not mean the Earth was created about 6000 years ago. It only means that the plan of God for mankind was instituted then. [See the Book Excerpt, Creation In Six Days But Who's Counting?].

The beginning of the 2000-year last days Christian era took place in 27 CE. Therefore, according to the evidence in the Biblical record, as both Christ and Peter made clear, the end of the "last [two] days” will occur in the year 2027. The 2000-year anniversary of Christ’s resurrection, then, will be the 17th of Nisan in the Hebrew calendar, the same date as it was in 27 CE. However, rather than it being the 12th of April in Julian calendar in 27 CE, it is the 24th of April in our 2027 Gregorian calendar.

But, this is not what’s of interest to us. No? No. We are interested in the Hebrew calendar dates and days of the week from 27 CE. It contains the fixed God-given dates for these times to take place. The resurrection of Christ occurred on the weekly Sabbath day, the 17th of Nisan, in 27 CE. And it does so again on the 2000th anniversary in 2027.

We come to a critical point of understanding for Christians. As Christ said, "I am sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel" in the Christian era, the last days. [Mat. 15:24]. He wasn't confused or lying to us. We are not gentiles. [Again, see the Feature article, Moving Forward, and Mirror, Mirror On The Wall]. The apostles, including Paul, were told by Christ not to go to the gentiles because the good news of redemption [see Gal. 4:4-7; also 1 Pet. 1:10, 11, Spirit of Christ] was meant for the House of Israel in the last days. [See the Feature article, Paul Was An Apostle To The House Of Israel, Not The Gentiles]. They were to preach that the kingdom, the power and authority, of God was at hand. This is the kingdom our LORD established in the last days that we read about above. [Mat. 10:5-7].

The Sabbaths are a sign between God and his consecrated people, meaning all twelve nations of Israel, not only those of Judah, and definitely not the gentiles of the world. “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, [why?], for they are a sign between Me and you [all the nations of Israel] throughout your generations, [to what end?], that you may know [Heb. yada', to know] that I am, the LORD [Heb. Yehovah] sanctifies you [Heb. qadash, to set apart as holy]." [Exd. 31:13]. This is hardly our mindset today in our Christian nations.

The contrary to this positive point is the devastation brought upon all Israel in the "Apocalypse," as the warning given to us throughout the book of the prophet Ezekiel states, "In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate, so that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, your idols may be broken and made to cease, your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. The slain shall fall in your midst, and you shall know that I am, the LORD." [Eze. 6:6, 7; see Zec. 7:14].

Which path and consequences are we choosing to come to know our LORD? Sabbaths or Santa and the Bunny?

In the New Testament, Peter reaffirms our relationship. "But you are a chosen generation [Greek, genos, offspring, family, kindred with the gift of the Spirit of God in the Christian age; again see the Feature article, And It's Still A Mystery], the royal priesthood [Rev. 3:11], the holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light [see Mat. 4:14-16]; who once were not a people [a reference to the Assyrian captivity and divorced state of the nations of our ancestors, the House of Israel, Isa. 9:1, 2; Jer. 3:6, not the gentiles of the world] but are now the people of God [redeemed from the curse of the law covenant of Moses, Gal. 3:13-18] who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy." [1 Pet. 2:9, 10; see the updated Feature article, Damascus A Heap Of Ruins].

Recall what Peter said to the House of Israel, “Repent [to obtain mercy], and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise [given to Abraham and his Seed, Psa. 105:42Rom. 9:8Heb. 9:15; also Gen. 21:12, Rom. 9:7, Heb. 11:18] is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” [Acts 2:38, 39]. This appointed day of Pentecost in 27 fulfilled this part of the plan of God.

Our special relationship, given to us by God, and with our LORD, is a reason why the Zionist descendants of Edom are promoting the attack on our "whiteness," which is our "House of Israelness," and are calling for "diversity" as a means to dilute and conquer us to gain dominion. What they fail to grasp is that none of this can annul the promise of our inheritance, eternal life, our gift of the Spirit of God, or the annual holy day Sabbaths that remain a sign between us, the House of Israel, and Yehovah. As noted above, " ... the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered." [See the Sneakers article, Critical Reasoning And Thinking, What CRT Use To Be].

Nevertheless, unless we turn from our wicked ways, following fables in place of the truth of the word of God, it will befall us as noted above. "In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate, so that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, your idols may be broken and made to cease, your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. The slain shall fall in your midst, and you shall know that I am, the LORD."

Remember, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." [Heb.13:8]. And so are the days that are a sign to us. As it is in the New Testament, so it was in the Old Testament. "For the LORD has chosen Jacob unto himself, Israel for his peculiar treasure." [Psa. 135:4]. "Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me kings and priests and a holy nation. [" ... kings, priests to his God and Father," see Rev. 1:4-6]. These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.” [Exd. 19:5, 6]. As it was said to our ancestors, the children of Israel in the Book of Exodus, it is said to us in the Book of Revelation. This is no coincidence. It's time we Christians wake up to our ancestral lineage as the children of Israel in the last days, with the love of the truth of the word of God. For if we did, as a nation of God's people, it would scare the bejabbers out of these evil elites. [Gen. 49; Mat. 15:24; see the Sneakers article, Time To Wake Up? You Bet Your Life!].

Our kindred Christians have lost all knowledge of our heritage as the the children of Israel, specifically, the House of Israel, and of the relevance of our LORD's Sabbaths for us. Day one of the week, the "Lord's Day," based on the incorrect Roman church's day of Christ's resurrection, is not a God-given Sabbath day. It has no positive standing before God, nor do the man-made holidays of Christmas and Easter. For the apostles and Christians in mid-first century, the holy days remained relevant. [See Acts 20:6-16].

Therefore, what stronger preordained sign could our LORD, Yehovah give to us, his chosen family, his special treasure above all people, than his resurrection as our Lord and Savior [John 1:14], fulfilling the promise of eternal life, covering our sins and the penalty of death, which the annual Sabbath days of Unleavened Bread pictured, than to have his resurrection take place between these two annual Sabbaths on the weekly Sabbath? " ... they are a sign between Me and you throughout your generations."

Christ was dead in the grave for the first annual Sabbath day. He was resurrected to life by the second annual Sabbath day. The symbolism couldn't be clearer or more unmistakable. "God has given us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ," opening the door to eternal life. [1 Cor. 15:57]. Our sins have been passed over. And while we may be in ignorance of our heritage, of a truth, the Sabbaths remain a sign between our LORD and us throughout our generations, including our Christian kindred today. The days didn't change from Old Testament to New Testament.

Remember, “None of God's judgements are … without the appointment of a certain [established beyond doubt] day.” The fixed dates and days of the week, in which the first three holy days in 27 CE occurred, perfectly match the dates and days of the week in 2027. The Passover, is on a Wednesday day in both 27 and 2027. The two annual holy days of Unleavened Bread and the day of Pentecost match the same dates, months, and days of the week in 2027 as they did in 27.

In 2027, then, the first three fulfilled, and the next three annual holy Sabbath days to be fulfilled will occur on the same Hebrew calendar date and day of the week as they did in 27. In between, we have the time of the great tribulation, the  “last days” of 2000 years, the Christian era. Peter pointed out to us an important Christian principle of understanding, " ...  beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing." And indeed, no annual holy Sabbath day has been fulfilled since the beginning of the last days. And no annual holy Sabbath day will be fulfilled again until the end of the last days. The first three fulfilled and the next three are bookends to the last days, the Christian age.

When the 2000 year last days great tribulation comes to an end, including the three and a half years of Babylon the Great, the opening of the sixth and seventh seals, the next annual high holy Sabbath day, the day of Trumpets, will be fulfilled by Christ, as it occurs in the calendar year of Israel. This too occurs on the same date and day in 2027 as it would have been fulfilled in 27. The Sabbaths are a sign to us throughout our generations so that we may know our LORD.

The Bible interprets itself.

Our annual holy Sabbath days, perfectly fitted together from before the beginning of time, outline the plan of God for us. They were given to the children of Israel for their annual physical observance. Then, the end of the three and a half years of Christ’s ministry culminated in Christ being killed as our Passover Lamb, which led to the fulfilling of the first three annual holy Sabbath days in accordance with the plan of God in their normal annual sequence, both the dates and days, in 27 CE.

Sandwiched in between the fulfilling of the first three annual Sabbaths, and the next three annual Sabbaths, we have the last days, the great tribulation of 2000 years beginning in 27 CE as we read about in Revelation six. Then in 2027, the three and a half years, or 42 months in the Jewish calendar, Edom's Babylon the Great’s dominion will come to an end by the hand of Christ. "And he [angel of the Lord] cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen ...." [Rev. 18:2]. This is a parallel to the three and a half years of Christ’s ministry ending with his death under the reign of the Edomite Herods. As it was with the end of Christ’s ministry on the Passover in 27, Christ fulfilled three annual holy days in their normal annual progression, 15th Nisan, 21st Nisan, 8th Sivan.

At the end of Babylon’s three and a half years, and the opening of the sixth and seventh seals, Christ will fulfill the next three annual holy Sabbath days on their fixed dates in their normal annual progression. This will be the 1st Tishri, the 10th of Tishri and the 15th of Tishri. These dates and days in 2027 are exactly the same as they were in 27 except there are 2000 years of the "last days" wedged in between them as Peter said. And as Christ said, "This [Christian] generation [Greek, genea, age] shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." The Christian age ends with the beginning of the Millennium, after the 6th annual holy Sabbath day, Tabernacles, has been fulfilled. It's all part of God's plan. The pattern should be clear.

The first of Tishri, in its physical observance given to the children of Israel, not the gentiles of the world, after their coming out of Egypt, marks the first day of the civil or governmental new year as opposed to the sacred new year in the spring. It is heralded by the blowing of trumpets. “[Moses] speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.” [Lev. 23:24]. This was the fourth annual holy day of the year occurring on its fixed date. And as Christ fulfilled the first three annual holy days on their fixed dates, he will fulfill this fourth annual holy day at its appointed time as well.

The fulfillment of the day of Trumpets was planned, from before the beginning of time, to mark the appointment of a certain day, namely Christ’s return to establish the government of God on Earth as shown to us in the Book of Daniel. [Rev. 11:15, Dan. 2:44, 45]. Christ’s return is heralded by the blowing of trumpets at the opening of the seventh seal in Revelation. “When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.” [See Rev. 8].

This fourth annual holy day is the Feast of Trumpets, which is the first of the annual holy Sabbath days that marks the beginning of the third time in God’s plan. “Three times in a year shall all your males appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose; in the Feast of Unleavened Bread [15th and 21st of Nisan], and in the Feast of Weeks [Pentecost], and in the Feast of Tabernacles [4 annual holy days, Trumpets, Atonement, Booths, and the Last Great Day]: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty.” [Deu. 16:16]. This day, the fixed date in the Hebrew calendar, which heralds the return of Christ to establish the kingdom of God on Earth, the feast of Trumpets, usually occurs in September or early October. This annual variance is due to the differences between the lunar Hebrew calendar and the solar Gregorian calendar.

Despite these variances, in 27 CE, the feast of Trumpets occurred on the 1st of Tishri, a weekly Sabbath day. It does so again in 2027.

Therefore, understanding the relevance of the annual holy Sabbath days, a sign throughout our generations, the appointed days already fulfilled by Christ in the plan of God, knowing the significance of the 2000 years, the last days, the Christian age, and the five seals opened by the Lamb of God resulting in the great tribulation beginning in 27 CE, it all brings us to October, 2027 on the day of Trumpets. This is the appointed time for Christ’s return.5

The Biblical record interprets itself.

The next day to be fulfilled by Christ after his return, the fifth overall, and second annual holy Sabbath day fulfilled by Christ in 2027 is the day of Atonement, which we know as Yom Kippur, kippur being the Hebrew word for atonement. This occurs on the fixed date of the 10th of Tishri. It is a Monday day, or day two in the Hebrew week, as it was in 27. “And Aaron shall make atonement upon its horns once a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonement; once a year he shall make atonement upon it throughout your generations. It is most holy to the LORD.” [Exd. 30:10].

This day was marked in its physical observance, a day of fasting, by the children of Israel. It was the one time of the year the high priest of Israel could enter into the holiest part of the temple. “Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the holy of holies, under the wings of the cherubim.” [2 Chr. 5:7, NASB].

Christ’s fulfillment of the day of Atonement, as our high priest [Heb. 4:14-16], will be a rejoining the House of Israel with the House of Judah as written of by the prophet Ezekiel, “As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.' Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the House of Israel [see Mat. 15:24], his companions.' … say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: 'Surely I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.'" [Eze. 37:16, 19]. This is the atonement of all twelve nations of Israel to our Lord God. Our personal Christian atonement, for the saints of the church, takes place in the last days when we have repented from the dead works of our past ways, then baptized, we have the laying on of hands to receive the Spirit of God. [See Rom. 5:10, 11].

It is good for us remember that the entire Biblical record is one book written to the same people, all twelve nations of Israel in the last days, and not to the "gentiles of the world." The key characters and people in Genesis are all present in the Book of Revelation. [See Gen. 49:1; Rev. 7].

There will be a new covenant made with both Houses. “Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the House of Israel and with the House of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the LORD.” [Heb. 8:8, 9; Jer. 31:31].

The third annual holy Sabbath day to be fulfilled in 2027, the sixth overall, during the feast of Tabernacles is booths or temporary dwellings. It is the fixed date of the 15th of Tishri, and occurs on the weekly Sabbath day, the day of rest, again the same as it did in 27 CE. It marks the time when the kingdom of God has been established on Earth. There will be a thousand years of peace. This millennium of peace, a millennial day of rest, follows the two thousand years of the great tribulation initiated by the Passover Lamb upon opening the seals mentioned in chapter six of Revelation.

As we read in the Old Testament, “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.” [Lev. 23:34].

However, the observance of the feast of Tabernacles does not end on this 15th day of Tishri in 2027. Those nations which came up against Jerusalem, every year of the Millennium shall come to Jerusalem to observe the feast of Tabernacles. “And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left [from the great tribulation, and seals six and seven] of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of Tabernacles." [See Eze. 45:25 and Eze. Chapters 40-48].

However, during this Millennial period, no longer will Jerusalem be called by it's former name. “All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE,” which is Yehovah Shammah, יְהֹוָה שָׁמָּה Yᵉhôvâh shâmmâh. [Eze. 48:35]. Jerusalem, יְרוּשָׁלִַ͏ם, Yᵉrûwshâlaim, means teaching of peace.

“And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth [the gentiles of the world] unto Jerusalem [Yehovah Shammah after that day] to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of Tabernacles.” [Zec. 14:16-19].

So for the one thousand years of the Millennium, symbolic of the weekly Sabbath day of rest, in this case a rest from the last days, 2000 years of tribulation, all the families, the gentile nations of the earth will need to go to Yehovah Shammah for Tabernacles.6

The other aspect of the booths or temporary dwellings of Tabernacles represents the fact that this heaven and earth are temporary in nature. The millennium’s peace will end when Gog-Magog [see the Feature article, The Final Prophecy, It Is Done], come against Israel and are destroyed. Then will be the great judgement day, the final annual holy day to be fulfilled. All who have ever lived and are in the grave will be raised up and judged, either to eternal life or to eternal death. [Rev. 20:12-15]. This heaven and earth shall pass away.

When this is finished, then there will be a new heaven, new Earth and a new Jerusalem. [See the Feature article, Heaven Can Wait II].

To summarize, in 2027 after the 2000-year great tribulation of the last days, at the end of Babylon’s three and half year dominion, the seventh seal is opened, there will be the blowing of Trumpets heralding the return of Christ. As he did as the Lamb of God in 27 CE, at the beginning of the sacred new year, Christ will fulfill three annual holy Sabbath days, this time as the King of Kings at the beginning of the civil new year in 2027. Then we will have the Millennium, followed by the final annual holy Sabbath day in the plan of God, the Last Great Day, fulfilled one thousand years later.

Prior to the day of Trumpets in October, 2027, the Beast of Babylon the Great will have dominion. It’s the zenith of the great tribulation, the time of Jacob's trouble. [Jer. 30:7]. “And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty-two months.

“And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given to him [by our LORD, Jer. 30:12-15] to make war with the saints [the children of the nations of Israel], and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

“If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” [Rev. 13:4-10]. This is a reference to Edom, the 6th head of the Beast, Babylon the Great.

It will mark the celebration, not of the resurrection of Christ, but rather the resurrection of the first head of the beast, Babylon, whose deadly wound was healed, returning as Babylon the Great. [See Rev. 13:3; also Dan. 2:36-38, king of Babylon; also the Sneakers article, Beware The Sackbut ... Not To Mention AI And 666!]. "The king [of Babylon the Great] will do as he pleases, exalting and magnifying himself as greater than every god, blaspheming the God of gods. He will prosper, but only until the time of wrath is finished [3.5 years]. For what has been determined [God's judgement] shall take place." [Dan. 11:36; see the Feature article, Obadiah And The Prophetic Parable Of The Tares]. It is at this point that Babylon the Great will be destroyed " ... whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming." [2 Ths. 2:8].

One other point that may be of interest. Remember, the capital city of Babylon the Great is Jerusalem. It was US President Trump who opened that door on December 6, 12/6/2017, [or 6+6/6 if you prefer], announcing the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the anti-Christian Zionist [Edom] state of Israel. As the Biden-Harris duo are in office as president-vice president, Ishtar/Easter of 2024 would mark the final Easter of their four-year term. This may mean that Biden or Harris will be the last president of the United States as we know it.

Remember our principles from the beginning of the article? “The Bible interprets itself.” All that is contained herein is from the Biblical record synced to the Hebrew calendar fixed dates in relation to the Julian calendar and the Gregorian now in use. Over a two thousand year period, the last days, all three calendars are a perfect fit. As Einstein remarked, "God doesn't play dice." And the annual holy Sabbath days, the sign between our LORD and us, his chosen generation, his royal priesthood [1 Pet. 2:9], observed on fixed dates mentioned herein are the days of judgement given to the children of Israel when they first left Egypt thousands of years ago. “None of God's judgements are adjourned sine die- without the appointment of a certain day.” It's all the plan of God as intended from before the beginning of time.

“… but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” [2 Tim. 1:9,10]. The plan of God takes us back before Genesis 1:1, and beyond Revelation 22:21.

Interestingly, the word purpose here in 2 Timothy in Greek, prothesis, refers to placing something in view so it can be seen. And indeed, the annual holy days do that. Also, for our forefathers, it referenced the shewbread in the temple built by Solomon. "Twelve loaves of wheaten bread, corresponding to the number of the tribes of Israel, which loaves were offered to God every Sabbath, and separated into two rows, lay for seven days upon a table placed in the sanctuary or front portion of the tabernacle, and afterwards of the temple." [Thayer's Greek Lexicon].

The annual holy Sabbath days, the plan of God, have been placed in our view for thousands of years. We need to be mindful that in the Christian era, since Christ fulfilled the annual holy Sabbath day of Pentecost in 27 CE, and once we receive the Spirit of God, according to God's plan and purpose, Christ is our high priest [Heb. 5], and the bread of life. [John 6:47, 48; Mat. 15:26].

And we, not a physical building in Jerusalem, are the temple of God in his kingdom established in the last days. "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles [Greek, phtheirō, to corrupt, debase] the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which you are."7 [1 Cor. 3:16, 17; also see John 2:19-22; Beast's Jerusalem Temple]. We are set apart as holy, for "I am, the LORD [Yehovah] sanctifies you." [See the Feature article, Three Temple Ages Make a Plan].

As the annual holy day Sabbaths are a sign to us, we need to let the light of the Spirit within our temples radiate in full view. “You are the light of the world [Greek, kosmos, orderly arrangement, the plan of God]. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your excellent works and glorify your Father in heaven." [Mat. 5:14-16].

Therefore, when we have eyes that see, and ears that hear, we understand, contrary to those scoffers who are blind and deaf to the word of God, that God does exist, that his plan, the Greek kosmos as used in John 3:16, made before time began, is in place, proceeding daily according to his will, here on Earth. And his plan will continue until all the annual holy Sabbath days are fulfilled, and there is a new Heaven and Earth, and the new Jerusalem. This is the true meaning of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world ...." It is the plan that was established before time began and will continue until time no longer exists. [Rev. 21:22-25]; also see the Feature article, Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall].

In Summary:

Looking at the big picture 27 CE, the sacred new year:

1- End of Christ’s 3.5 year ministry;
2- He is the Passover Lamb sacrificed for the sins of Israel, 14th Nisan, Wednesday day at the beginning of the sacred year;
3- 15th Nisan, first annual holy day fulfilled by Christ, 1st day of Unleavened Bread, a Thursday day;
4- 17th Nisan, Christ resurrected, a weekly Sabbath day;
5- 21st Nisan, the second annual holy day fulfilled by Christ, last day of Unleavened Bread, a Wednesday day;
6- 8th of Sivan, the third annual holy day fulfilled by Christ, Pentecost, a Friday day;
7- Lamb of God opens first five seals marking the beginning of the great tribulation, the 2000 years of the last days.

Looking at the big picture 2027, the civil new year:

1- End of Babylon the Great’s 3.5 year dominion at the end of the 2000 year great tribulation;
2- 1st of Tishri, Christ returns as the mighty King of Kings, marked by blowing of Trumpets, fourth annual holy day fulfilled by Christ, the first resurrection, the day of Trumpets, a weekly Sabbath day, at the beginning of the civil year;
3- 10th of Tishri, fifth annual holy day fulfilled by Christ, day of Atonement, a Monday day;
4- 15th of Tishri, sixth annual holy day fulfilled by Christ, feast of Tabernacles, a weekly Sabbath day;
5- Beginning of 1000 years of peace, the Millennium, a rest from the Great Tribulation;
6- End of Millennium, seventh annual holy day fulfilled by Christ, the Last Great Day, 21st Tishri 3027, the Great Resurrection;
7- New Heaven, Earth and new Jerusalem, the beginning of a new age in the plan of God.

As we noted above, the year 27 and the year 2027 are identical in terms of the fixed dates of the annual holy Sabbath days occurring.

In the spring of 27, at the beginning of the sacred new year, Christ’s ministry of 3.5 years preceded his fulfilling the first three annual holy Sabbath days. In the autumn of 2027, at the beginning of the civil new year, Babylon the Great’s 3.5 year dominion ends. and Christ fulfills the next three annual holy Sabbath days, which occur on the same dates and days of the week as they did in 27.

It’s as if the year 27 was stopped, 2000 years was added to it like Peter pointed out, and then started it again, sort of like creating a stretch limo. Cut the car in half, and add a middle section to it. When done, the front [the sacred new year] and the back [the civil new year] are still the same. All the annual holy Sabbath days occur on the same dates in the Hebrew calendar in both of these years, and they all occur on the same days of the week, but with 2000 years in the middle between them. Remember, keep in mind, this is a scenario, not necessarily the timing of events by our Lord.

The Bible does interpret itself. And all of God’s judgements come with the appointment of certain days as the annual Sabbath days show us in the plan of God. Indeed, "they are a sign between Me and you throughout your generations."

This stands in stark contrast to how Christianity has been led astray by false prophets, following man-made fables, notably Sunday the "Lord's Day," replacing the weekly Sabbath, and Christmas and Easter, replacing the annual Sabbaths, as the fabricated days of relevance for Christians. Those who persist in following fables of men won’t be aware of the return of Christ, instead finding themselves unexpectedly face to face with the Beast of Babylon the Great. “The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of.” [Mat 24:50]. "For false Christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." [Mat. 24:24].

These repetitious, backward-looking cyclical, "chasing our tail" holidays, rather than the big picture linear, sequential God-given annual holy Sabbath days, are false flags, making war against the saints designed by our Adversary to keep us away from the truth of the word of God, and the plan of God set before us. It’s not too late yet to amend our ways, and get back on the right path. But as we’ve seen, time is of the essence now. So let us live each day seeking first the kingdom, the power and authority, of God in our lives with a love of the truth of God's word.

As Christ says to the last of those of the seven church eras in the Christian age, Laodicea, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me. To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

"He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the ekklesia." [Rev. 3:20-22].

1 It should be clearly noted that the Passover is a one day event. [Exd. 12:12-14; also Num. 28:16-18]. The seven days after this are the Days of Unleavened Bread. The first and seventh day are annual high holy days. The Passover is not an eight day Biblical event. It is one day Passover, seven days of Unleavened Bread.

For a very quick explanation of Christ's weekly sabbath day resurrection, Mary and the others arrived at the grave of Christ early Sunday morning when it was still dark. Christ was already resurrected. John 20:1 As Luke 19:31 points out, Christ was put into the grave before sunset of the annual high holy day. The first sunset prior to Sunday morning when still dark is the weekly Sabbath. Therefore, Christ was resurrected on the Sabbath day.

Also, the English phrase in the gospels, "the first day of the week," is not in the manuscripts. The word for day of the week is sabbaton, or Sabbath day. Therefore, "and having risen earlier, on the first Sabbath day ...." For all the details, see the Feature article, Easter, Babylon And The Antichrist.

A side note: According to the creation account of Adam and Eve, Gen. 1:26-28, they were created at the very end of day six, the same end of day six of the week before sunset when Christ was resurrected. Therefore, their first full day of life was the day of rest, the seventh day in the creation account, the Sabbath day.

2 The day beginning at sunset follows the same pattern of creation in Genesis 1. God separated the light from the darkness. Thus, the day begins in darkness, and the daylight portion of the day is divided out of the darkness. See Gen. 1:5.

3 Please note that the apostle Peter says, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night." This is a reference to the end of our current heaven and earth as opposed to the return of Christ. Peter is making the distinction that while we can know the date of the return of Christ according to the Biblical record, it is not so with the day of the Lord. "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea," followed by the great day of judgement. [Rev. 21:1]. This is why Christ told us no man knows the day and hour of this happening. Many people confuse the day of the Lord with the return of Christ. But they are two distinct events separated by a 1000 years.

" ... the day of the Lord ... the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the Earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." [2 Pet. 3:10]. Christ's return marks the establishment of the kingdom of God on Earth, not the Earth's passing away.

4  The ages, 1- pre-Adam, 2- Adam to Noah and flood, 3- Noah to Abraham, Moses and exodus, 4- Moses and law covenant to Christ, 5- Christ, second Adam and new covenant to Christ return, 6- first resurrection, kingdom of God on Earth, Millennium, 7- second resurrection and new heaven and new Earth.

5 We read in the gospels of Matthew 24 and Mark 13, “For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be. And unless the Lord shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days." We aren't told the exact amount of time the days of the first five seals of the great tribulation will be shortened. Either way, we should live our lives taking one day at a time. As Christ instructed, "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" [Mat. 6:25].

6 The days observed by Israel during the Millennium differ from the days given to Moses for the children of Israel [Exd. 12]. In Ezekiel we read, "Thus says the Lord GOD: “In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall ... And so you shall do on the seventh day of the [first] month ... In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall observe the Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten ... in the seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, at the feast [Tabernacles], he shall do likewise for seven days, according to the sin offering, the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the oil.” [Eze. 45:17-25]. Also the weekly sabbaths and New Moons shall be observed.

7 The fate of the temple and Jerusalem were talked about by Christ in Luke 21:20-24. Christ begins by saying, "But when you see Jerusalem encompassed with armies, then know that its desolation is drawn nigh." This is a reference to 70 CE when Jerusalem and the second temple, or Herodian temple, were completely destroyed by the Roman army. This description of first century events continues through to the first half of verse 24. For those of Jerusalem that were not killed in the siege by the Roman army were taken away and sold as slaves throughout the empire. Some were brought to Rome for "entertainment" in the Colosseum according to the first century historian, Josephus.

It is the second half of verse 24 that is confusing because of the Greek word ethnos is used three times in this one verse, and it references three different groups of people. Ethnos is translated as gentiles, nations, peoples, countries, etc. So we are dependent upon context to determine who's who in this verse. The first use references the Roman army's Jerusalem captives being taken away, and scattered into the nations of the empire. The remainder of the verse reads, " ... and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the nations until the times of the nations be fulfilled." The nations here are two distinct references.

The times of the nations to be fulfilled refers to the last days, the Christian era. Remember, Christ was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. And that he came to fulfill the promise of God to the nations of Israel in the last days. We read in Rom. 11:25, 26 "For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, of this mystery, that you may not be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part is happened to Israel [descendants of the House of Judah in the last days], until the fullness of the nations [of the House of Israel] be come in; and so all Israel shall be saved." Thus, the reference to nations at the end of Luke's verse 24 refers to all the nations of Israel. This is the time of Christ's return. Luke 21:25-28 refers to the opening of seals six and seven. The difficulty with the word ethnos translated as Gentiles is that it misses the entire message of whom Christ is speaking of here. It is the nations of Israel as the annual holy Sabbath days in the last days show us.

The second use of ethnos in this verse, "and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the nations until" refers to non-Israel nations, in this particular case gentiles, having control of Jerusalem from its destruction in 70 CE until the return of Christ, when the promises to the nations of the House of Israel from God are fulfilled. After the Jerusalem temple was destroyed, the area of Jerusalem remained desolate until the Romans built a city, Aelia Capitolina, on its site c. 135 CE. From this time it remained Roman city until the Muslim armies took it from the Roman Empire in 638 CE, and renamed it Jerusalem. It became an Islamic city, and remained so until 1918.

From 1918 until the establishment of the nation state of Israel by the Zionists in 1948, Jerusalem was and is supposed to be a United Nations mandate city for Judaism, Christianity and Islam. However, President Trump recognized Jerusalem as solely belonging to Zionist/Edom Israel. Zionist Israel are not of Israel, but are gentiles, i.e., not descendants of our patriarch Israel. It is a clever deception to believe they are Biblical Israel. [See the Feature article, Obadiah And The Prophetic Parable Of The Tares]. Edom is the 6th head of the beast, Babylon the Great. Only when Jerusalem is destroyed once again as we read in Rev. 18, and Christ returns, will Jerusalem again be the city of God on Earth. Although its name will be changed during the millennial time of peace. " ... and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.” [See Eze. 48:30-35]. Until then, it is trodden down of the nations or gentiles of the world during the time of the last days.

This is why in the Christian era, the last days, our bodies, not a building in Jerusalem, are the temple of God. And it will remain so until the return of Christ, and the fulfilling of the first resurrection on the annual holy Sabbath day of Trumpets.
